Lake Sherwood Estates is a year-round lake community in a beautiful, 1200 acre, natural setting.  Six stocked lakes ranging in size from 3 acres to 135 acres, offer opportunities for water skiing, fishing, swimming and pleasure boating.  Fishing enthusiast can catch bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill, red ear sunfish and trout from any of our stocked lakes. All of our lakes are surrounded by wooded hillsides.  Maintaining our natural woodland environment, including trees and wildlife, is a community priority.  Woodpeckers, Baltimore Orioles, Great Blue Herons, deer, raccoons and foxes are just a few of the commonly seen wildlife species.

 

We are a gated community with 24 hour, year round security.  The gated entrance ensures property owners that our beautiful facilities are available to them and their guests.

 

Our member only facilities include a community center, swimming pool, campgrounds, Beachside Cafe' (Memorial Day to Labor Day), volleyball courts, baseball field, parks, lakeside pavillions, public swimming docks and a marina.

 

Full electric, telephone, cable, water and sewer are available for each lot.  Lake Sherwood is serviced by the Marthasville Ambulance District, Warren County Sheriffs Department and the Class 5 rated New Melle Fire Department.  Lake Sherwood Estates resides in the accredited Washington School District.
